Join us for a powerful and inspiring conversation featuring some of the most influential voices in dance history and culture. Tales from the Dance Floor brings together pioneers, scholars, and artists for an intimate look at the origins, legacy, and future of Waacking and related street and club dance forms.

Panelists include:

Mark Starr – Original DJ at Gino’s, one of the foundational clubs where Waacking was born (Soul Train, American Band Stand)
Billy Goodson – Choreographer to Diana Ross, Michael Jackson dancer, and Waacking pioneer
Naomi Bragin – Author of Kinethic California, scholar of funk, disco, and dance culture
Wizzard – Viral Korean waacking star and international educator
Princess Lockerooo – Moderator, Producer, and founder

This discussion will explore the deep connections between music and dance, the impact of Black and queer culture on club dance forms, and how the legacy of Waacking continues to evolve in today’s global scene.
